The house is built in stone and wood, respects the architecture of the area and offers a good quality stay. When rebuilding it, original materials have been used and much of the furniture has been restored to maintain the essence.
El Cardoso de la Sierra is very well located geographically. It is part of the Sierra Norte de Guadalajara Natural Park (Sonsaz Hunting Reserve) and is located between two of the southernmost beech forests in Europe, Montejo and Tejera Negra. It borders the Biosphere Reserve of the Sierra Norte de Madrid (more precisely with the Sierra del Rincón).
The Jarama River acts as a natural border and together with the great variety of flora distributed in forests of oak, pine, walnut, beech, birch, serval, poplar, poplar, holly, etc.. make the traveler eager for tranquility, nature and beauty, find their lost paradise. It is difficult to imagine such idyllic and lonely places just 100 kms from Madrid.
The best access is from the A-I, leaving in Buitrago de Lozoya (km 76) and taking the road towards Gandullas (M-137), and then cross the municipalities of Prádena del Rincón and Montejo de la Sierra.

En la última planta de la casa rural hay 3 habitaciones abuhardilladas. Una de estas habitaciones tiene espacio para 2 camas supletorias, por lo que tendríamos una habitación cuádruple. Todas estas habitaciones disponen también de baño privado con bañera o ducha de hidromasaje.
La casa rural se encuentra en El Cardoso de la Sierra, un pueblo de Guadalajara limítrofe con Madrid y Segovia. En la sierra donde se encuentra el pueblo, nace el río Jarama. Además, está vestida por árboles como pinos, hayas o robles.
